Mr. Nielson and I sat next to each other yesterday as we watched the Glenn Beck Program.
Mr. Nielson and I were able to share our love for God, and faith and why
we believe we are still kicking. It was God, and still is God.
I was honored Glenn asked me to share some of my experiences on his program.
Mostly I was pleased that I got to express to the world my feelings.
I told Mr. Nielson after the show, that I totally had made myself cry.
Some of you even watched the taping.
If you did, you will notice how completely distracted I was in the first segment.
You will have also noticed my boys fighting on the front row.
I wanted to die- but not really.

I also wished {as it were, the Memorial Day special} able to announce on the show how thankful I was for those Men and Woman serving this Country I love and the people I love.
I should have announced that Doug, our good friend and pilot in the crash {who passed away},
had served in the Air force. He was a good man, and I am proud to have known him.

PS. Here is the picture that I talked about here.

Santa's workshop in May/Nie on Beck/Blogher

{I am sure glad that Mr. Nielson had his man-purse in the photo}

We were invited to the coolest children toy/candy store in Utah.
Blickenstaff's
The only way I can describe it is like being in Santa's workshop.
{That is what I kept telling the children}
They believed me, which means they still believe in Mr. C.- Thank heavens!!!
The store is set up so darling, its like FAO Schwartz- but in Utah County. Amazing, really.

{Glenn in his studio}

I invite you to watch my family on the Glen Beck Program today. Check your local listings-
We talk about pretty much the same stuff you have heard, but this time we get to really tell and explain why we are still alive. God. Faith. Religion. God.- It felt so good.
I think it will be nice. I hope so.
After the show, (on tomorrow's blog) I will give a little post-show wrap-up and talk about my experiences in New York City- good times.
{Me outside the Fox studio's. One of the last photos I will take with a fat neck...surgery on Friday}
Happy Monday.
Happy Memorial day to you and yours.
For the fun of it, check out Mr. Nielson's Mormon.org profile.
You don't know what that is, you say?
Here, go here to find out.
Us Mormons, we are kinda cool, I think.

Glenn, New York, and the big O

{I can't get over that turkey neck}

Dear friends,
I am still here in Nie York City!
We taped for the Glenn Beck Memorial Day show which will air on Monday.
{(5/31) Check your local listings for times}
Glenn really isn't as spooky as some folks think. {In fact, he likes to use that word a lot}
He actually is a totally cool guy.
I will blog more {with photos} about that dude when I get home.

Right now, Claine is driving me nuts.
They want to watch a American Girl movie we just bought while the boys were
browsing the Lego store in Rockefeller Square.
So exciting.
Also exciting, {soooo exciting} we met in Mr. O's green room for a chat and a photo.
After we said our goodbyes to the big O, we ran outside to check out the photo.
The picture was totally blurry.
I swear I saw Mr. Nielson shed a tear.

Mr. O was so cute and got down, put his arm around Nicholas and smiled big.
{Did you know that Mr. O is really tall.}

Good night from New York!

{two of my monkeys after dinner}

Nielson's hit New York

{the beautiful rainbow from the road in Provo}

Mr. Nielson and I are snuggled together on the 26th floor on 52nd and Avenue of the Americas. Our window overlooks a million lit windows even though it is midnight in the big city.
New York is such an exciting city.
We took the children to dinner and left Nicholas' new green lantern guy at the table.
We walked back four blocks to pick it up, but it was gone.

Now, the children are asleep in the next room and the rain is falling from the glowing sky.
Tomorrow we will be visiting with Glenn Beck on his program.
After, the children have the whole day planned.
I hope I can keep up with them.

{of course we had to get a few new things, and here to wear on national TV}

Field Day/Nie asks on Blogher

{Lucy and Bets yelling for Claire}

Every May, the children's elementary school holds the end of the year track meet.
I did it when I was young, and so the tradition continues.
Claire entered in 2 races.
She was adorable, simply adorable.
My eyes burned with tears as I watched her work her little healthy
body down the lane with the other children.
She did me proud. I was bursting with love and pride for that doll of mine.

Page and Matt {my siblings} also had children who were also participants in the race.
So all of us including Lucy, Bets, and Freddie joined us as we
cheered loud and clear for our own.

Ollie and Nic played in the sand box nearby.
{I have no idea who Ollie is wrestling with in the picture above.}
I got terribly sunburned on my neck. Oh you know, the place where
my non-flexible hands can't get sunscreen.
It's never NEVER a good idea to get sunburned over a burn and grafted skin.
It hurts like a swear word.

Check out my latest Vintage Pearl good.
The adorable Pea in the Pod necklace with 4 mother of pearls.
{one for each of my babies}
I love the way it looks around my neck.

I am watching Mr. Nielson iron my pants as I type this.
He is dancing while ironing.
He is listening to this song.
He looks so sexy, I want to jump his bones. {did I just say that??}
********
Nie asks on Blogher:
What is your favorite picture you took this week?

I am loving the Hunter rain boots all lined up in our entryway

Go here to tell me here

Happy Monday!
Probably as you read this, I am on a plane to New York City
with my cute little family.
More details tomorrow!

Happy Birthday Katie!!!

Weekend plans/Presenting Steven Waggoner

It is Friday, and with that comes the weekend.
Last weekend, I was in Las Vegas with Mr. Nielson.
We pretended we were in Italy {but really we were in the Palazzo}
eating Italian bread and gelato. Not bad.

This Friday/Saturday I am planning on weeding my garden then planting my seeds.
I pray the weather will corporate since it has been raining non-stop for the past week.
I want to work in the yard while the children play on the lawn.
I want Mr. Nielson to make veggie burgers and serve Mexican coke.

Or we may stop off at Marley's in the Riverwoods and visit my super cute nephew
VAN flipping burgers in the back {or flirting with the hot chicks who work there}
We stopped by last week for some good grub.
The onion rings are to die for, as is the fried ice cream.
The sliders aren't so bad either- they even have a vegetarian item.
Ask for the skinNIE!

{Nicholas at Marley's gourmet sliders}

I have asked my friend and amazing painter Steven Waggoner to paint my children's profiles.
I am going to put them together in my living room. {see below}
They look like photographs they are so real looking. He is amazing.
I will be so excited when they are finished, it will be a so neat to have displayed in my home.
This is priceless art. Steven can be reached on his website if you are interested in having your child, grandchild, or loved one painted.

{Steven's steps to a finished product-pretty amazing}

Have a good weekend.
