New Years and plans-

(Christmas did come to the Nielson home)

Happy New Year my sweet faithful readers and supporters!
Thank you dearly for such an amazing 2010 year.
It was wonderful, wasn't it?
It was hard. It was painful, then, really painful. Of course it was fabulous, a year of changes- good, bad and sad. It was romantic, and hilarious.

For those of you who read my other blog 'Nie and You', I am announcing my new "You" reader on New Years Day for the 2011 year.
I am excited for you to meet and get to know another friend far away
(from me anyway).
Also, a very happy and dear thank you to Katja of Germany who was the 2010 "You"-
I will miss her.

Also, I am extending the sell of the 'Nie's first calendar' to mid January.
You can buy it on the sidebar or below:

Happy New Year to you and yours!!!
My Christmas post review will be up next year- ahhhhhhh.

A note to those of you who hurt- Hold on.

To those of you who are hurting or
disappointed this time of year.

Just hold on.
Everything will be OK.
Although in our journey here in mortal life, will encounter forks and turnings in the road from time to time- some more serious and painful than others, but we all have trials that will come.
My heart is so heavy right now, I feel such a sorrow in my heart.
I just feel for those that hurt at such a hopeful time. Hang on.
This time of year you should feel ever grater love from our Savior
and you should feel the peace that comes when we place everything into his hands.
Hold on.
I know in your heart you will have the peace and determination to do this.
I have felt that all is lost, that my life is useless and that I am good for nothing. I have learned as I have healed body and mind that, it is simply not true- and so with you.
I am all for feeling sorrow and loss, but only for a while, soon it will eat away at your soul and hurt relationships.
Carry on- move forward, hold your head high.
This too shall pass. And it does. And sometimes we will carry scars on the outside, some of us on the inside, and some both, but you are never alone.
Never.
Merry Christmas to you, and to your loved ones.

-Nie

We missed the train

We missed the Polar Express train.
So instead we took the children to Salt Lake to see Temple Square.
It is so beautiful this time of year.
The children loved it.
We are cramming in as much Christmas fun as we can.

(What do my wondering eyes appear, but my calendar on sell at Deseret Book!)

Excuse me, I need to go wrap presents with Mr. Nielson now.

FYI: If you are itching to get your hands on one of my 2011 calendars, and shipping just wont make it in time. Sally (your sister) really wants it for Christmas, so you should try these places:

10 years of marital bliss

Mr. Nielson and I celebrated Ten years of marriage.
In celebration, Mr. Nielson surprised me by taking me to Park City- and
back at the Washington School, staying in the Mrs. Nielsen room (close to my name).
The evening took us to Park City ski resort as we took a sleigh ride to the most beautiful lodge
where good old cowboy grub was made and eaten at the
Snowed Inn Sleigh Company
by a bunch of handsome cowboys!

(Washington Inn at Park City- our 2nd annual stay at the beautiful bed and breakfast. So cozy!)

(Me and Cowboy Kelly after a lovely sleigh ride)

(Hanging out at the 'Snowed Inn Lodge')

(Waiting for our the sleighs to pick us up in the 10 degrees)

The next day, I did what I had been wanting to do for years- ski.
Once upon a time, I used to be a pretty good skier. I was nervous to share the slopes with Mr. Nielson because what if I was crap? I would feel a personal loss, and also feel stupid.
But, I was just fine! And we had the most fun time ever!
I think it is so fun skiing with my sweetheart (of 10 years, remember)
because on the lift we can snuggle and laugh and smooch. Its awesome.

And skiing at my old favorite- Sundance was amazing.
We had lunch at the Grill and I had endless hot chocolate with as much
whipped cream as I wanted. Yep, that's right.
After the fun times on the slopes, Mr. Nielson and I found us something silver/tin.
We found an adorable owl.
Tin is what represents 10 years.
Read about it here.
Could my life be any happier right now? I doubt it.

(Skiing at Sundance-the best quaint resort around)

Oh, but wait....
Guess who showed up? Yep the cutest little man ever- Freddie!
Lucy had her sweet pie on December 17th! Congrats Lucy!

I love you Mr. Christian Mark Nielson.
I am honored to have your name.
I am delighted to share children and life together.
You make me so happy.
And we will live happily ever after-
The End.
